Ready for Cousin Talon's Baptism

1. Abuelita Lety's casa was being remodeled and we temp moved to OngBa Noi's house, which you took like a champ. You couldn't help it since you were being smothered to kisses and hugs by your grandparents esp Ba Noi.
2. Sat in the wonderful gorgeous waters of Galveston Island (sarcasm). Tio Danny and Madrina Denise were in town and we met them up at the Beach. Daddy and Mommy bought a SPF semi-tent and you were dressed in SPF swimwear, so cute! Denise and I sat with you in by the shore while Daddy and Uncle played football and turned red like lobsters. Boys will be boys. You had enough and it was time for nap. We then went to lunch and then drove home. Good first beach experience.
3. You are completely sitting up by yourself and if you fall back which you do, you pull yourself up.
4. Although you have plenty of toys that you play with, there is nothing better than playing with your feet! You kick those puppies up and play away, so cute!
5. Mommy calls you Poppa all the time and you of course say Poppa Back. Daddy loves it, I then tell you Gio Mommma! Momma! You Smile and say Poppa! little booger. But when you are really tired and at your limits you start whining Momma!
6. August 1st on our way to the house from SA, you had been cooing and talking of course saying Poppa....then all of a sudden Momma! Momma! Clear as day! I of course kissed you and hugged you all over, you laughed and then said Poppa! I dont care it made my day!
7. We did 2nd roadtrip to SA for Madrina's Baby Shower and you had boys day out with Daddy. Yall went to La Cantera for some shopping and then came home to play in the cool AC. Daddy bought you cute lime green Pumas. This has been a hot hot summer! You also took your first dip in the pool with Daddy. Once again this water does not phase you. You didnt quite enjoy it as I thought you would, beceause you love your showers, but I guess floating completely on your back is not fun yet. We stayed there for about 15 min and then we went back in. Once you were done, you smiled and happy again.
8. Tooth No 3 top row joined the top row of the gum family. You are currently being nice and stopped chomping down. You think its a joke when you chomp and mommy tells you No. You laugh and started doing it way to often that I was way sore. But now you have stopped. The other night I thought you were hungry because you were fussing and I tried to feed you and you bit me. It was not fun but hilarious. You just needed some soothing to return to bed. I couldn't stop laughing.
9. I haven't started you on cereal yet, I will soon maybe manana or Sunday. I am in no rush and honestly you are not wasting away. You have changed your eating habits, you are going more and more time when you are with someone else, and waiting for mommy to get home from work to eat. Once I am home you go to town, but when you are done you semi chomp and the milk factory closes down immediately!
10. Daddy has new work schedule and you will not fall asleep till he gets home, no matter how much mommy plays with you. You feed and then wait for daddy to rock you to bed and then places you in the crib.
11. Mommy had a school fieldtrip with her students to the Museum of Natural Science and you and abueltia Lety joined the group. You met all of mommy's students, started at the dinosaurs, oil exhibit and then fell asleep as Mommy carried you in the ERGO carrier, which you love.
12. As we drove home from the fieldtrip, you smiled in the car and Tooth No 4 surprised me. Welcome Tooth No 4. Seriously Gio you are just growing up way too fast. Welcome to the Gum Family!
13. Today you sat in your first highchair like a big boy and played away. I carried you into the restaurant in your carseat and put you in those slings, but you hated being in your carseat and so we asked for a highchair. You played away and wouldnt pose for a picture. lol.
14. We went this past Tuesday for your 6.5 mo check up...New stats.. 24lbs, 29 in long. Last month we started buying you 18-24 months clothing because its the only size that will fit nice and loose for you and room to grow. Lol!
15. I forgot to state that back at 4 months I was worried about keeping you swaddled till you were 1 because that was the only way to keep you sleeping, well right after that blog, we had stopped swaddling you and I tried one night to and you threw a huge fit and that was the end of the swaddling days. So everyone was right, you will tell me when you are ready for everything!
