Family PIcs 2012

Lisa has done it again! Lisa always captures beautiful shots that make my heart melt. She has been there every year for our wedding, gio 6mo, and family pics last year. Everyone always loves her work.  I was very unsure of taking pics because I'm not happy with my body image,  but I am very excited that I did.  Lisa, knows how to capture us and keep Gio focused.  It was a quick and easy session.  We got our cd yesterday and couldn't stop watching them over and over during dinner.  I am a trully blessed with a beautiful family. Thank you Lisa once again!

One of Gio's favorite iPad Apps is Harold and the Purple Marker. Well Auntie Christine sent him a copy with a very loving inscription. I showed it to Gio and he instantly recognized it and kept saying Harold, Harold. He sat on the couch and flipped through the pages and said read mommy please. So Harold was part of our evening fun until bedtime. He wanted to draw on the pages like he simulates in the app and I had to explain to him no drawing in books. He said ok mommy. Oh mr cutie!

Yea mommy and kiddo fun! It was a Nguyen/Resendez Family outing day. We took the kids to Noah's Ark for swimming fun. Best place to take toddlers swimming, only 6 in deep. Gio was very hesitant, but after taking Pablo's lead he was splashing and having fun. Miss Ava was napping and soon joined the water fun. Pablo is such an awesome big brother he kept encouraging Gio and played with him. He finally found kids his own age and was gone soon after. Gio found a spot he liked and was mr independent. We had to take a necessary snack break then back to swimming. After 2.5 hrs it was time to pack it up and off to Chick-fil-A we went. The boys played in the playground for a bit then we had to go home for naptime. Later in the afternoon everyone came over for playtime then we headed to dinner at the Hobbitt Cafe!
After Dinner the hubby's tool the kiddos home for nite nite and Danette and I had Mommy Night Out. We wet to Coco's for crepes and then to Agora for coffee. Catching up and people watching our favorite past time! Finally we headed home at 2 am. What I hadn't been out that late in forever! Can't beat having fun with my BFF! Thank you Hubby's for giving us the night off!

We have been riding bikes in the evenings because it has been very hot.  We rode around the neighborhood and then decided to get some yogurt at Menchie's. On the way home, lil G relaxed so much, he fell asleep. Ha!

Aww we had to say goodbye to the Resendez Family! Gio was sad and kept asking or Pablo and Ava. He even said the day before, Ava Pablo's Sister, I said yes. Then he asked Gio's Sister? I said maybe one day soon. Yikes! Talk about pressure. We had a great time and can't wait to see them in October for Ava's 1st Birthday. Gio and I hungout at Tita's and I snuck out for a quick haircut. It was nice to have an unpexted day off. FYI we are having Resendez Family Withdrawl. =(. See yall soon! love yall!

Asked Gio to pick out a book for bedtime, his choice the Anatomy Pop-Up. Well bones, cells and lungs covered mommy is halfway asleep and Gio is hooked. Lol. He said the lungs are butterflies, good observation kiddo

I think I had my days counted wrong but here we go again. So we finally get to hang out with our family friends The Resendez. They came over for dinner, parents had fun catching up while the kids played. Love them so much!!

Haircut and family pics! Gio started swim classes at SwimJim Houston. Daddy took him to class and they had a lot of fun learning to do bubbles and swim lessons. Daddy and Gio them had lunch with the grandparents. We were taking family pics in the evening with our friend Lisa so a haircut was in order! What a handsome Lil man!

Yea off early from school again! I met my mom and Gio at art class, we made a steering wheel and clay something. It was supposed to be a car but then Gio squished it and it got cray cray :)
