Alexander at a month you are finally smiling while you are awake, instead of your usual milk induced smiles. After your morning feed you stay awake and look around your surrounding while cooing, my favorite! Your big brother loves you so much and makes it a point to say good morning everyday and give you a big hug and kiss. You definitely understand nighttime is for sleeping, by 8 pm you are ready for big feed and sleep. You give me a nice big stretch of sleep till 1 sometimes 2 then it's every 2 hours. By 5/6 am, I am pooped and you join me in bed. Thankfully you like your crib for nighttime sleep but daytime I try to put you in the swing or couch, because you don't like your crib as much. Bath time you love and kick your feet in the tub. Some days you nap throughout the day, others you fight, but you def don't skip a meal, my two hour on the dot alarm clock. I am loving everyday spent with you and Giovanni, discovering your personality.

Alexander is One month!!!!
My lil pumpkin is a month! Days are running together when you are busy with two kiddos! Hubby's family celebrates one month of life with a family get together. The grandparents hosted a nice family dinner and Auntie Christine flew in for the occasion and also met baby Alexander. OngBaNoi went all out on the decorations for Alexander's birthday with a sesame street theme! Gio had a great time playing with his cousins Olivia and Ethan.
Mothers Day 2013
The boys and I joined my mother and Umer at Brady's landing for brunch. I had taken my dad there once before and my mom has never been, so it was a great choice for our special day. Gio was so excited to see his grandparents and ate all his food. Alexander slept for the most part and then needed a nice meal of his own. Brady's landing is located near the ship channel. My mom took Gio out to the patio for a walk to see all the boats nearby. He brought me back a flower and said happy Mother's Day mommy! Love u! Daddy and Gio bought me beautiful roses the day before. The boys also gifted me with a new Kate Spade Diaper bag. It's gorgeous, too nice I'm afraid to use it because ill get it dirty. Lol! The Sales lady told Luan to spray it down with scotch guard to protect it from spills. Daddy said the bag was also my push gift lol! Following brunch we headed to my moms for naps! Afterwards we headed to fire truck park for outside fun. The afternoon weather was so pleasant and Gio had a blast! We picked up dinner at Central market then heard home! So happy to be off this weekend and spend it with my boys! Such a blessing with two loving gorgeous boys and my awesome husband!

The pump
Alexander you are a champ at breast feeding just like Gio and we have found some of rhythm: u want, I provide. But phew, you want constantly and it was a lot easier with Gio because no one else required my attention, but right now I am being pulled in both directions and Gio is not liking it, which is understandable . Gio doesn't understand why mommy can't play and catch ball or play with his cars while mommy feeds little Alexander. But oh he does love him and when he cries he comes up to him and mocks me by saying "I know, I know, it's ok baby Alexander" then he sneaks his eyes towards me and cracks up. Alexander is on the verge of turning a month and I knew I had no more excuse, it was time to pump! Blah! I love nursing but I detest pumping. Especially with Alexander feeding all the time when was I going to get a chance? Well after numerous milk leakings, I started pumping on side not in service while Alexander has his first morning session. I also try to fit a session in the evening before his bedtime because it is his longer feed. Trust me not fun feeling like a cow at a milk station, but my little boy needs his milk come a month from now. I am only producing 2-3 ml a session, not the best but good considering one side at a time. As I type I am pumping because I ws headed to bed and started leaking, thought hmm why not pump rather then lose it. I am happy I am not waking up engorged! Alexander was quite fussy today, wouldn't take a long nap and nursed repeatedly! I think we are on the verge of a growth spurt!
My crazy anxious self finally introduced the pacifier as well, worried that he might get too obsessed with it, guess what he is not. He takes it for a bit sometimes and then spits it out. There are so many articles whether to paci or not. I reused with Gio until I got so nursed out I needed a break, he hated it. Alexander is on the fence. He does like his hands when he finds them, :), but don't want him sucking those thumbs, which I have been told it is harder to break that habit. Daddy gave me a break for my much needed appt at the nail salon and I left a bottle just in case. Daddy said Alexander spit the bottle out then finally tasted the milk and went to town. I came home with nicely manicured feet and hands and waxed eyebrows to a sleeping baby boy. I think I was more anxious than anyone else, of course. :)
