sometimes getting new gadgets are fun, in this case they serve a medical purpose. Well hubby took care of Gio so that I could rest but none of that happened. I heard gio wake up occassionally and how did I hear him because I had full on insomnia, could not sleep. I am so exhausted today i am so not feeling well which is not good because i cannot get sick and then repass this crap to gio. I was thinking about gio and how he is going to soon recover from this while i could hear him coughing in the room. actually he coughed quite a bit and then hubby finally came out and said ok breathing treatment and some iburprofen because gio was getting hot again. damn just when you thought fever was gone. I finally went in with them but my chocolate milk 24hr open stand was too distracting for gio to sleep eventhough he didnt want any he couldnt stop fidgeting near them so i finally left the room and left him with daddy. =( well 650am i hear gio having a coughing bit i am still awake in&out of sleep. so i go and check in on him he is really hot, he starts feeding nonstop later more coughing and yes throwup starts. I hate seeing Gio so helpless and in pain from the coughing. just when i thought he was improving, yea not so much. we finally get up for the morning my mom actually gets him to eat some cereal and i leave for work. i call the pedi office and ask for the nebulizer machine because the inhaler was not helping anymore. After work they called me that it was at pharmacy and I was already in my pjs and thought ok ill run and get it thru the drive-thru. Well i needed more things and yes i am one of those that go into public areas one in pjs and house slippers, hey at least i had a bra on. well they give me the medicine but they dont have the machine..great. so i drive to the nearest medical supply store which was open late bc it was 6, but if i want my insurance to pay for it i have to wait for the next day, i was like are u f***serious! i thought about waiting to get it then remembered gio's breathing and told them i wanted to pay cash. they were trying to convince me to wait, i almost went off on them, i was so frustrated by then, i said i have a RX and money, please sell it to me, they finally sold it to me and gave me two face masks for all the hassle...jeez thanks. when i got home i immediately gave gio a treatment, this nebulizer is for kids and i was so dreading the facemask because gio threw a fit in the clinic when we gave him his first treatment, but this one included a pacifier with a breathing apparatus. i dreaded it because he hates pacifier, but he took it thankfully while my mom and i distracted him with toys and singing. wow finally! after the treatment he sounded alot better. yes! he then nursed and fell asleep, i thought we were going to play but i guess not. he later woke up sweating and hot again, more fever. you know i know fever is good because it is his own immune system fighting off the bad guys, but i hate how hot and uncomfortable he gets. he woke up and we played in bed and i kept him up till 11 so that i could do one more breathing treatment. this one was good for the first 7 min then he put up a fight. sleep schedules who cares as long as my little one is getting his treatments and fully hydrated ill get back to that when he is back to his norm. he is finally sleeping with daddy on a wedge pillow to help him breathe and drain better. oh yea i have been doing my own nasal drops very easy 1 tsp of salt with 8oz of water and then you put 1ml of solution in each nasal cavity. well after all this fighting with gio just to drop it in and the bloody murderous cries he goes through, i figure what the hell i bought the nasal spray mist, he didnt care for it, but he didnt cry. he did cry when i suctioned out his nose, but he is better at it since we do this so often. so on any other occassion i would do my own drops but there is just to much crap going in and out of him poor lil man, thank u nasal spray mist for infants. i tried it on myself first, its manageable.

this is the 1st apparatus that gio hates, don't let that cute little kid fool u or the other pics online, those kids must be sedated to be so calm with this thing in their face...

the one pacifier he actually likes well for at least 7 min, the other 7 min is a struggle, but some progess..
earlier today i also went to costco to price some items for the party and thought alot about postponing gio's big 1st celebration. we are still going to have cake on his bday and everything but no big party. Ill probably postpone it till feb 5, just enough to give gio some time to fully recover. we have a FU visit tomorrow so hopefully we will hear some great news of some improvement, but regardless party is being postponed. i rather have my lil one's health up to 100% then just barely recovering. the great thing about babies they are very resilient and can recover quickly but mommy is not ready to take chances and trying to avoid making everyone wear facemasks and complete hospital operation room attire...what it is not drastic??? maybe just a little....maybe not, i think we can turn this into a hospital themed safari...it is just a thought....=p I think im going to put a big sticker on the outside of the already sealed envelopes with the new date, hopefully people will notice a huge highlighted sticker...lol be on the lookout folks...=p
sleep tight lil man, see you under the coconut tree.
