Christine's roommate Hebert gave us free tickets to the Aquarium and so we met him up to pick them up. He works in the Back Bay/Newburry area. It is gorgeous, restaurants and boutiques everywhere. Love it! He recommended Max Brenner's for chocolate, so we walked and worked up an appetite. We walked to Fenway Park while Gio napped and back then had lunch.
Good food, but honestly we should have not ordered food, this place is great for their dessert, we ordered Deep fudge chocolate cake and shake. OMG I could not even finish my half it was so rich, we couldn't.
We took off back to Newberry and continued our window shopping, the majority of the shops are either up a couple of stairs or down in the basement. Not very kid friendly in a stroller so window shopped we did. Love it! Restaurants with open patio's or all the windows open, lovely neighborhood. H&M welcomed us in as the weather cooled down, hey that's my excuse. The weather dropped so fast, cool in the morning, hot lunchtime then cool by 3. We walked to the public garden, so pretty. Gio walked around and away a couple of times and led us to the Make Way For the Ducklings statues. They had bruin jersey on, so cute...we missed the swan boats by minutes. Public Garden is a must, if we have more time we are definitely going back.
Gio fell asleep for his evening nap with daddy and we hopped onto the train and explored downtown crossing as he slept then headed home. Hubby and Gio chilled while I went grocery shopping with Christine and Hebert to Trader Joe's, we need one in Houston, love it. Then we enjoyed dinner while Gio slept and rested.
